Jake and Lizzie, although newly engaged actually met in 2005 when they were both in Mrs. Kayon’s 1st Grade Classroom at Rossman Elementary School, in Hartford, Wi. From the beginning, Lizzie had the biggest crush on Jake. As they grew older they remained friends, both attending the same Middle and High School. However, when they finished high school Lizzie went to UW- La Crosse and Jake went to UW-Platteville and they stopped talking for about 6 years.

One night, Lizzie’s Snapchat sent her a message asking if “she knew this person?” Lizzie immediately knew who it was, and added Jake. Jake added Lizzie back and their friendship was rekindled.

Jake and Lizzie chatted on and off and had their first official date on October 1st, 2023. They went to “Penny’s Erin Restaurant” for breakfast. Jake, living in Green Bay, invited Lizzie to his house, and once his dog “Nova” approved of Lizzie he officially asked her out.

Lizzie and Jake have since gone on many adventures including: traveling to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, camping at Governor Thompson State Park (where they were attacked by falling caterpillars), and various other road trips. On their most recent trip they went to Door County, WI, and while hiking at White Fish Dunes State Park, Jake asked Lizzie to marry him and she said…YES!!! Lizzie and Jake are beyond excited to celebrate this special occasion with you. They hope to see you in Cabo.
